Thesaurusrex

A word I invented about a decade ago in a discussion with some friends about the overly verbose, pseudo-sophisticated art critic (most noticeable then in Artforum) writing style. It has begun appearing here and there lately sometimes as thesaurus-rex, sometimes without the hyphen in a similar context.
