n. 1. The inabilty for a computer to maintain stability at
crucial moments. 2. A computer problem arousing feelings of
intense fear, horror, and distress. 3. A computer related
event or experience that is intensely distressing.

Coined by Christopher J. Shields & Claire E. Fawcus in May
2005 to describe their inability to maintain a chat
connection for an extended and useful period of time.
<p>
A combination of "Rig" (Slang for computer) and "Nightmare"
(An event or experience that is intensely distressing).
