intolerista

Used to describe leftist and secular activists who are
ostensibly advocates of openness, diversity,
multiculturalism, and tolerance, but who are in practice
viciously intolerant of any ideas that conflict with their own.
<p>
The word is formed from the word intolerant and the suffix
-ista, which first gained currency with the leftist regime
in Nicaragua in the 1980s, the Sandinistas. Since then, the
suffix has been used in various ways in a pejorative way to
indicate the leftist leanings of any group so described
(e.g. Clintonistas).
